Hey everyone! Here is a quick recipe for Valentine’s Day Cherry pie! All you need is a can of cherries, refrigerated pie crust, and some heart shaped cookie cutters! Let’s get going!
First we will do the pie crust. I used Pillsbury refrigerated pie crust. Start by letting your pie crust come to room temperature, so let it sit out of the fridge for 15 minutes. After that Roll out the first pie crust in your pan as the bottom of the pie.
Second, pour 2 cans of cherry pie filling into your rolled out crust. After, take the second pie crust in the package and start cutting heart shapes out with a cookie cutter. I used a medium sized heart on the outer ring and I used a small cookie cutter on the inner rings.
Look how pretty! Once that is all set, I did an egg wash on the crust so it would brown nicely! Put that baby in the oven and let it cook for 40-45 minutes. After the first 15 you’ll want to cover the outer crust with aluminum foil so it doesn’t burn!
Once your time is up, take out and enjoy your beautiful Valentine’s day pie!
